TontoTonto came to Two Oaks in 2007 in a terrible state, but against all the odds pulled through and had 9 years of love and happiness at the sanctuary. Unfortunately, in 2016 (at the age of 26) he contracted an infection and laminitis and had to be put to sleep. Sorely missed. | ButtyButty contracted infections and crystals. The vets came out to tend to him but in the end he didn't pull through. | MelodyMelody came to Two Oaks in March 2013. Sadly she suffered from a condition called COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Following a serious attack on Sunday, July, 7th 2013, brought on by the high pollen count and the heat, the difficult decision was made to let her go. Although Mel was only with us a short time she made a big impact and will never be forgotten. We have planted a rose in her memory. |
MaggieMaggie was 42 years old and in the days leading up to her death she found it increasing difficult to get to her feet without help. We are proud to have been able to give Maggie a safe and loving home in the last few months of her life as we’ll all miss her cheeky feed room raids! We have planted cherry tree in her memory. | GalaxySadly, we lost Galaxy 2014 due to colic. He was in a lot of pain and even though he was young, we had to make the very hard decision to let him go. | Arthur |
Rehomed
Once back to full health, we work hard to find our ponies new, loving homes where possible and have seen many go onto to have much brighter, happier futures
ChunkyChunky has gone to a new home, where he is being broken for riding. | BobbyBobby was brought to Two Oaks as he was too much to handle. He was a lively character and loved to be cheeky. Bobby was strong when ridden, even by the best of riders, and definitely threw a few shapes! A local riding school decided to take him on. | Tippie ToesTippie Toes was rescued from a large raid at a farm carried out due to welfare concerns. When she came to Two Oaks, her feet were in really bad condition, hence the name Tippie Toes. This was derived from her movement when walking on hard ground. Her hooves were cut back so short it made it very sore to walk. Tippie has now gone to a new home where she has had a successful attendance at shows. |

Her future is bright as she is to be a show pony. | BambieBambie was one of the foals born at Two Oaks in 2013. She was taken to her new home as a foal to grow into a working pony. | LaylaAfter Layla's leg injuries put her out of work, she found a new home where she can graze. |

Cassie has now found a loving new home. | RosieYears ago Rosie was a driver pony at Riding for the Disabled which she really enjoyed, but when she changed owners, unfortunately she was treated badly.
